Parents and teachers are becoming increasingly aware of the importance of early childhood experiences. The things children learn during the early years strongly influence their future development.
Our purpose at Polk Street is to provide a carefully planned program for children, appropriate to their age and within a Christian environment, that helps them grow in favor with God and man. We hope to lay a solid foundation for the social and intellectual skills that they will need in kindergarten and beyond.
In our program, our first concern is the needs of the individual child. Each child is affirmed, not only for what he or she can do, but also for who he or she is. We design our curriculum so that each child can build on present abilities and yet be exposed to new and challenging learning opportunities.
Although non-denominational, we are Christian oriented. We help our children develop an awareness of God and His plan for us. Your child will learn that he or she is a child of God and is therefore someone very special, someone who is worthy of the love of both God and man.
