Youth Ski Trip Information

Hello Youth Parents / Guardians,
 
The weather is starting to get cooler which can only mean one thing. It is time to start talking about our youth ski trip. I am extremely excited about our trip this year. Our trip will be January 18-21 and we will be traveling by charter bus to Winter Park, CO. I chose Winter Park as our ski trip destination for two main reasons. First the mountain offers awesome ski conditions for both novice and experienced skiers. Second the amazing lodging facilities available to us in Winter Park. We will be staying in the reunion cabins at the YMCA of the Rockies. These cabins hold 25 people each and will offer us large enough space to both cook and hold bible studies. Along with the spacious cabins the YMCA also has an indoor pool, rock climbing wall, and a   sledding hill!
 
This year’s ski trip is open to all students grade 6-12. I believe the youth ski trip is a great outreach opportunity, so I have worked hard to make the ski trip as affordable as possible so that students are encouraged to invite their friends. But I don’t want students trying to teach their friends how to ski. Therefore any student going on the trip who has never skied before will be required to attend ski school at an       additional cost. Also to help with safety the students will have adult sponsors with them while skiing on the slopes. Below is the basic price information along with deposit due dates. The prices listed below cover everything except spending money for souvenirs. Skier Age 13-17 -- $330 + 22.00 if snowboarding
Skier Age 11-12-- $300 +  22.00 if snowboarding
 
One day ski school -- $66.00
 
· Ski trip cost includes transportation, lodging, lift ticket, rentals, one meal  traveling to and from Winter Park and breakfast, lunch and dinner while in Colorado.
