The 30 Hour Famine weekend is fast approaching! If your student has not signed up yet please encourage them to do so. They don’t want to miss this event! The deadline to sign up is April 15th! Also we are actively planning different opportunities for students to raise funds to save lives. One opportunity will take place this Sunday April 14th. The students at RE|ACT and RE|VIVE this week will be decorating empty paper plates to represent what children around the world see at the dinner table. We will then be selling the paper plates for $1.00 or by donation after the first and second service on Sunday April 14th. If possible please encourage your students to attend both the first and second service to maximize their ability to reach their individual fund raising goal! If anyone has any questions let me know.

The weather is starting to get cooler which can only mean one thing. It is time to start talking about our youth ski trip. I am extremely excited about our trip this year. Our trip will be January 18-21 and we will be traveling by charter bus to Winter Park, CO. I chose Winter Park as our ski trip destination for two main reasons. First the mountain offers awesome ski conditions for both novice and experienced skiers. Second the amazing lodging facilities available to us in Winter Park. We will be staying in the reunion cabins at the YMCA of the Rockies. These cabins hold 25 people each and will offer us large enough space to both cook and hold bible studies. Along with the spacious cabins the YMCA also has an indoor pool, rock climbing wall, and a sledding hill!
As a group, we will spend time focusing on how to live out the first and second great commandments found in Mark 12:30-31 and the fellowship described in Acts 2:42-47. We have lots of exciting events planned for the fall.
